WSC 2026: By the Numbers

This year’s WSC marked the 50th anniversary of the World Service Conference.

261 total participants: 133 Regional Delegates, 6 Zonal Delegates, 15 World Board Members, and 113 Alternate Delegates. 43 people joined remotely.

Participants came from 47 countries and spoke or signed 31 languages. There were 183 men, 81 women, and 2 non-binary participants. Of the 134 RDs and ZDs, 66 were from the US, 5 from Canada, and 63 from outside North America, a truly global gathering.

Some highlights: New IP #21 (Staying Clean in Isolation) passed by unanimous support. Afghanistan and Brazil were welcomed as newly seated regions. The Fellowship agreed to move forward with a gender-neutral revision of IP #1. Work also began on the next strategic plan (2029-2032). The next World Convention of Narcotics Anonymous will be held in Dublin, Ireland, in 2028.
